Vintage Four-Panel Indigo Katazome Cotton Futon Cover

A vintage Japanese four-panel indigo cotton piece, originally used as a futon cover. The fabric features a traditional katazome resist-dyed design of chrysanthemums and scrolling arabesque (kiku-karakusa), repeated across the entire textile. The indigo has softened and faded beautifully through age and use, creating subtle variations in colour throughout.

Made from medium-weight cotton with a soft, well-used texture. This is a substantial piece that can be incorporated into sewing and textile projects, or displayed as a wall hanging.

It shows signs of age and use, including fading, small holes.
